thoughts on today
Mood:  cool
Now Playing: party931.com dance radio
Today was...wednesday? Didn't do much today. Read a little, rested in bed a bit, played on the computer a bit, worked a bit, listened to music a bit, talked to my mom a bit, and sent off an e-mail. Other then that not much happened. I think I will try to get the couch to The Salvation Army tomorrow. I will have to take it down the stairs myself (no problem) and put it on top of my car (might be a problem) and strap it down. I will stay off the main road and drive slowly. I should be able to get it there with no problems. It is about 10 miles to where it needs to go, which might be the only problem. Well, I am going to play another game and then will be heading to bed. Good night.

Scotty beamed up
Mood:  a-ok
Now Playing: party931.com dance radio
This just some thoughts about James Doohan who played Scotty on the original Star Trek Series. When I watched Star Trek I must say that Scotty was one of my favorite characters from all of the series. I just loved how he was completely sure of himself at all times. There was never a spot where he was not 100% confident. From the origianl series he was one of only two stars who I wanted to meet and get a signature from (the other was Walter Koenig, mostly due to his role on Babylon 5). Sadly, that never happened. I am saddened by his passing and send my thoughts and prayers to his family. He will be missed.

Today
Mood:  a-ok
I went out and did some cleaning in my storage unit. I went through boxes and bags and got rid of papers and items that I do not need. In the end I have 6 plastic boxes that are empty and removed 6 garbage bags of junk and some empty cardboard boxes. The bags were not full, but they were heavy. I also got my school stuff together and would have no problems moving the stuff that I have left in to my apartment. I just need to get my couch moved out. Hopefully I can get that done this week or weekend. That is it for tonight. Bye for now.

More catching up
Mood:  a-ok
So, I have once again missed 2 days of posting. That is ok. Not a whole lot happened those days and I can quickly bring you up to speed on what is happening.

On Sunday I did nothing but site around my apartment, read, eat, etc. I had yet to finish a book I had started before Harry Potter came out so I wanted to work on it a little more.

On Monday I had to wake up early so I could go to work. After I got off work I stopped by the school to see what the latest was about the new portables. They are still not in and are not expected in until just before school starts. This means that I (and the other teacher who should be in those portables) will most likely be starting the year off in a different classroom and then will have to move all of our stuff to the portables once they are ready for us to use. Not much fun. After that I came home and got ready to go back to work. After work that night I finished reading my other book.

Today is going to be not that great of a day. I think I am going to go down to the storage shed and go through some stuff to see what I can get rid of. Yes, there are some things in there that I do not need and I will be taking some trash bags with me and going through some stuff. I will be keeping most of the things in there, but I know that there are some things I do not need now or again. Other then that I only have to work tonight. Not much going on, really. I am off for a bit, but I hope to write something tonight after work. Take care until then.

Catch up time
Mood:  chillin'
Wow. I missed a couple days, though there really hasn't been much to write about. Bowled on Thursday night. 2 good games, then 1 piece of crap. All in all a good night though. Not much else happened Thursday. Just a little more reading.

Friday was a little more interesting. First, I did some More reading. Then I went out and spent some time in the pool. After that it was time for the Harry Potter Release Party. I went dressed up as Hagrid, complete with an egg and "biscuits". Had maybe 200 people there. Lots of fun with the activities that they had. I finally left there just after 1 am. After I got home I went to bed.

I woke up this morning about 9:30, fixed something to eat, than began reading the book. I started reading just after 10am. At 3:45 pm I finished the book, changed clothes, and went to work again. The book was great. Lots of twists, and some great information. The two big things that were in the book were who was going to die (a major character) and who was The Half Blood Prince. I will not share on here who those people are, in case anyone reading this has not read the book. I will say that neither of them really surprised me. I will also say that they are not the same person.

Well, I am off to finish up a couple things before going to bed. Have a good night and I will write more tomorrow.

Today
Mood:  not sure
Now Playing: My station at yahoo music, again
Lets see, not much to report today. The phone is still off. Really haven't had a need. I did have a phoen call yesterday from one of my fellow teachers. She was wanting my help today in looking for a couple things. No problem. I called her back and then helped her today. I also had a call tonight from a friend asking me if the new portables are in. As we have to move all of our school supplies from our old rooms to new ones we need to know if the rooms have been delivered. As I have not been near the school, nor talked with people that have I would not know. I figured that she would know before me. Other then that I spent today either online or reading my book, with a break in there to go work. Just a normal day. I did some more thinking about things that I wrote about yesterday. I will be getting rid of the couch and the storage unit. I am not certain about the other things yet. I will have to think about those things more. Well, playing a game and then I will be heading to bed to read a little more. Bye for now.

Decisions I am thinking about
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: My station at yahoo music, again
While I was out walking today I came up with some decisions. Part of these decisions involved ways to get a little more money for myself to use to pay off bills faster. Some were about things I wanted to do.

Lets start with the money things. I have a couch that I have put up ads to try and sell. No calls. So, I thought of something else. I will be taking the couch to the Salvation Army. This will not give me money in itself, but it does clear up some room in my apartment. If I then moved my dresser in to the space vacated by the couch, with the possibility of getting of getting a second dresser that would fit on top. After I have moved the dresser I could then move my bed away from the wall towards the sliding door, where the dresser was sitting. This would give me about 4 feet between the wall and the bed. I could then move all the boxes that I have in storage in to the apartment stacking them in the new space between the wall and the bed. I could hang up a sheet or blanket from the ceiling to hide them from view (not like anyone comes to my place and would see). I would not need the storage unit then and this would save me about $55 per month. This would be some help. Other things that I could do to save some money is to switch to a different phone calling plan. The one I have right now costs me $60/month. I could also get rid of my Internet connection. If I did that and changed phone plans I could save an additional $50/month on my phone bill. Between the two things talked about above I would have about $120 a month to put towards paying off some other bills. I could also not join a fall league for bowling, which would save about $64/month. In any case, I can take the money and put it someplace else and get bills paid off. Also, since things were messed up by the Florida Department of Education I may be in Florida for another year. If that happens then I may be looking to move to a different apartment when my lease is up here. Once of my fellow teachers lives in a complex that is a little cheaper then the one I am in right now and the apartments are a little bigger. I will just have to look in to that later on.

Okay, some of the other things I was thinking about. One is that I need to get a good pair of sunglasses again. I had a pair but they broke a while back. I need to invest in them because they help me when I am out and about outside. The next thing is a good scale. I need to be able to weigh myself once in a while. Though, once school starts back up I will have access to one so this will not be a priority. once I know my weight is down under 300 I would like to get a bike to ride around on. I could ride a bike to school more then I could walk. I would also be able to go to the store and get things that would perish before I got them home. The last thing that I would like to get is a game system, like the Playstation 2. I have been introduced to a couple games that are quite fun and challenging (make me think). I will probably get this after the scale. The only way I would get this sooner would be is if I do get rid of my Internet. Once I do that then having a PS2 or something similar would give em something to do when I am sitting at home with nothing else to do.

Well, that is it for now. I may write a little bit more when I get home from work. If not, write more tomorrow.

Some thoughts
Mood:  cool
Now Playing: Yahoo Music
I watched my second French film today. It was titled "God is great and I'm not". It also stared Audrey Tatou. This movie was about a woman who has trouble identifying her religion, so she keeps switching. Because her new boyfriend is Jewish so she decides to convert to Judaism. I did like this movie, partly because I could see myself in different people, partly because I like how the movie dealt with religion.

On to other things. Lets see, since Saturday morning I have received 7 phone calls. Of course, with my ringer turned off I didn't actually have to listen to those 7 calls. None of them left a message, and none of them were from people that I knew. I didn't expect to get any good phone calls.

School starts back up in 2 weeks. 2 days of training, 4 days of teacher work-days, then the students come back to the classroom. Sometime between now and then I will have to go to school to move things from my old classrooms to my new room. I need to take some time and get things all ready to go to start the year off.

I am going to start doing more walking. I am hoping to take the 5 days I will off for spring break and go walking.I will be working the Ren Faire the two weekends, so I will have to go during the week. My plan is to leave my apartment, walk all day and get a hotel room to spend the night. Then get up the next morning and walk some more. Eventually I will wind back up at my place on Friday night. I will need to work out where I will be walking to in the meantime. I also need to make sure that I am fit to walk for 15 or 20 miles each day. If I can do 20 miles each day I would have 100 miles for the week, which would be a nice thing. So, I need to work on my walking, get myself used to walking a lot again. I have not been out walking for a while, but I will be starting again soon. I do plan on walking to school once in a while. However, I will be working on some days after school so I will have to drive to work. I will write more about this later. Take care those of you reading this.
